About Me

My career path has been unconventional – I’m part finance strategist & troubleshooter and part entrepreneur.

I’ve extensive strategic, financing & investments experience (on the ground in Africa; and Washington & London-based coverage of Africa, Eastern Europe, Asia, Caribbean).

  • Built and led highly-capable, collaborative, diverse & curious finance and investment teams covering 12+ countries;
  • Advised senior management & boards on framing, structuring and financing their strategic vision;
  • Led financial analysis, multi-year forecasting & planning and cashflow management; and
  • Analysed & improved workflows and implemented rapid change to increase resilience.

Collaborating with project sponsors and entrepreneurs, I have also developed and launched my own ventures and advised/supported others.

I’ve augmented hands-on experience with ongoing learning &  professional certifications:  I hold the AICPA Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation; and I am a CIMA Fellow and Member in Practice. I also hold the Institute of Chartered Accountants Corporate Finance Qualification and am an alumnus of the University of Maryland and London Business School.

Strategic Finance Experience

Today, I operate as fractional CFO and sustainability finance strategist in sustainability & climate technology while volunteering time to things I care about.
